Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan emphasized that the World Cup tournament has great power to unite society and stimulate the economy of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises.
This was conveyed by Zulhas when opening the 2026 World Cup viewing party entitled "Semarak Bola Gembira" held by TVRI in Senayan.
"This ball will unite us. Hopefully when it's a ball, usually we don't look at the background, we are united," said Zulhas to the media crew.
He hopes that this month-long tournament will strengthen togetherness and maintain a conducive atmosphere within the community.
"Hopefully, this month will strengthen our bond. For the World Cup, there's no need to force it; more and more people will watch it. God willing, it will be a much safer month," he added.
Besides being a means of uniting the nation, Zulhas also highlighted the positive impact of this tournament on the people's economic sector, especially for MSMEs.
