Persis Solo has appointed Rochmat Setiawan as head of the team's analysis department for the 2026/2027 Championship season.
Quoted from the club's official website, Thursday, Rochmat explained that the analyst department plays a role in supporting various team sectors, starting from the senior team, scouting , management to ongoing youth player development at the Persis Solo Academy.
"So, our work essentially involves supporting many areas, many positions within the club. We try to provide data and services to many positions within the club, hoping that every decision made within the club will be of higher quality," said Rochmat.
Before joining Persis Solo, Rochmat served as head of the analyst department of the BRI Super League club Persebaya Surabaya for three years and also assisted the Indonesian National Team at various age groups.
Rochmat continued, explaining that data synchronization is crucial in modern football. Therefore, in the player search process, his team will utilize statistical data and direct observation to maximize player performance.
"From the statistical data, we will explore the player's character. We will start using video data, observing their gameplay and their qualities. This will give us a better understanding of the players we need," said Rochmat.
He added that his presence could bring progress to Persis Solo, including the development of youth footballers at the academy who have the potential to play for the senior team.
"Many factors play a role in a team's success. Besides data, management, the players themselves, the coach, and perhaps even the supporters and the club's ecosystem are key factors in determining a team's success," he said.
