Geek Fam and Team Liquid ID (TLID) are confident of being the dark horse teams in the playoff round of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Indonesia (MPL ID) Season 17 which will take place at the Jakarta International Velodrome on June 10-14.
Both teams are on a path filled with teams with unpredictable performances throughout the regular season, which is considered one of the most open and unpredictable brackets in the playoffs this season.
"We are very confident that GEEK can compete with other teams. Speaking of underdogs, I think we can also be a dark horse ready to face other teams in this playoff round," said Geek Fam coach MxMoore in a written statement received .
Geek Fam will first face DEWA in the play-ins round in a deciding match that will require one team to be eliminated early from the competition
Despite failing to defeat DEWA in their two regular-season meetings, MxMoore believes that these results are no guarantee of success in the playoffs, which have a different atmosphere and pressure.
"The fact is, we haven't won our two matches against DEWA in the regular season, but we believe we can get the best result when we meet DEWA again," said MxMoore.
