Hsiao Bi-khim nearly caused a car accident after being followed by Chinese officials; Beijing criticizes Czech Republic for allowing "surprise visits," violating the "One China Principle."

Taiwan's Vice President Hsiao Bi-khim visited the Czech Republic last March in her capacity as vice president-elect. She was followed by Chinese diplomats and nearly caused a car accident. Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council issued a strong protest on Friday (27th) and strongly condemned the CCP's egregious behavior. China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the Czech Republic for allowing Hsiao Bi-khim to "visit" and said it seriously violated the "one-China principle".

On March 18 last year, Hsiao Bi-khim embarked on a three-day trip to the Czech Republic and met with Senate President Miloš Vystrčil. However, it was later reported that she was followed by Chinese diplomats during her visit to the Czech Republic, which nearly resulted in a car accident. The Czech military intelligence agency confirmed that it had monitored Chinese intelligence agencies attempting to carry out destructive actions against "protected persons." Local media also pointed out that the operation even planned to collide with Hsiao Bi-khim's vehicle.

The Mainland Affairs Council strongly condemned the deliberate attack by personnel from the Chinese Embassy in the Czech Republic and demanded that the Beijing authorities immediately issue a public explanation and apology to Taiwan and the international community for this uncivilized act that violated international norms and endangered personal safety.

Mainland Affairs Council: Fully exposes the violent nature of the regime
The Mainland Affairs Council stated that the CCP has repeatedly disregarded the will of the Taiwanese people and plotted violent threats against the democratically elected deputy head of state. Even before the president and vice president took office, the CCP attempted to carry out terrorist attacks and intimidation, which not only fully exposed the violent nature of the CCP regime but also proved that it had no sincerity in communicating with the democratically elected government of Taiwan in good faith.

In Beijing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun criticized the Czech Republic for allowing Hsiao Bi-khim, a die-hard "Taiwan independence" activist, to "visit" China, which he said seriously violated the "one-China principle" and the Czech Republic's political commitments to China, and grossly interfered in China's internal affairs. China has expressed its strong dissatisfaction and firm opposition to this.

Guo Jiakun stated that Chinese diplomats have always abided by the laws and regulations of the host countries. China urges relevant parties not to be provoked and exploited by pro-independence separatist forces, and not to create trouble out of nothing, maliciously hype up, interfere with, or undermine bilateral relations. No matter how the DPP authorities change their tactics to seek independence through foreign influence, they cannot conceal their sinister schemes and are doomed to failure.
