Iranian state television announced on Tuesday that at least two members of the army's air defense forces were killed in Israeli raids on Monday, during the exchange of attacks that both sides subsequently announced they had halted .
State television said the soldiers were killed “while performing their duty to defend the country’s airspace during the Zionist entity’s aggression yesterday (Monday).”
Iranian television identified the two men killed as Bahman Hosseini and Ali Reza Abiri, without disclosing their military ranks.
This announcement represents the first official acknowledgment by Iran of fatalities resulting from these attacks, which have heightened tensions in the Middle East and dealt the biggest blow yet to the fragile ceasefire agreement linked to the war between Iran and Israel.
