MilkLife Soccer Challenge head coach Jacksen Ferreira Tiago emphasized the importance of mental strengthening for female soccer players trained through the MLSC so they can develop into top athletes for the future of the Indonesian women's national team.
"Sometimes we think we need to improve our tactics, we need to do this and that, but my impression from several visits to various places is that we need to strengthen our mental and emotional aspects," Jacksen Ferreira Tiago told the media at the 2026 MLSC All-Stars event in Kudus, Central Java, on Saturday.
He explained that outstanding female soccer talents are beginning to emerge from the various teams participating in the MLSC All-Stars. Some of them are demonstrating above-average abilities and could become mainstays for the women's national team in the future.
Jacksen mentioned a number of prominent talents such as Ika Wonda, a striker for the Solo all-stars team, midfielder Sabrina Dwi Ristiyana from the Kudus team, midfielder Rayna Picessa from Tangerang, and defender Hafizah Lubna from the Jakarta team, and several players from other teams.
The next task, he said, is to improve the quality of coaches to be able to help young athletes in the U12 category to develop further.
