Janice Tjen plans strategy to face Kasatkina in the second round of Wimbledon

Indonesian tennis player Janice Tjen will develop a strategy with her coach, Chris Bint, ahead of her second round match against Australian Daria Kasatkina at Wimbledon, after recording an impressive victory in the opening match.

Janice, currently ranked 42nd in the world, is scheduled to face Kasatkina, who is ranked 65th in the world, for a place in the third round of the grasscourt Grand Slam.

"Yes, I feel very happy to have won and advanced to the second round. And, for the next match, there are many things to discuss with the coach tomorrow before and after practice," said Janice, as quoted by Wimbledon.

Kasatkina came to Wimbledon with an underwhelming record throughout the grass court season.

At the previous Grand Slam, the French Open, she made it to the third round before being defeated by world number one Aryna Sabalenka.

However, after that, Kasatkina was always stopped in the first round in three consecutive tournaments, namely the Libema Open, Nottingham Open, and Eastbourne Open.

This record is similar to Janice's, who also lost in the first round of three consecutive tournaments. The difference is that Janice reached the second round of the Birmingham Classic after being eliminated in the first round of the French Open.
