Martyrs and wounded in separate attacks by the occupation on Gaza and new house demolitions

Medical sources reported that eight Palestinians, including children, were injured in an Israeli drone strike that targeted a gathering of civilians in the Al-Shati refugee camp northwest of Gaza City, noting that one of the injured was in critical condition.

In Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, two Palestinians were injured when an Israeli drone targeted a tent sheltering displaced people in the Tiberias camp in the Al-Mawasi area, west of the city. Another bombing that targeted an area adjacent to the tents of displaced people in the western camp resulted in the injury of 14 people, including two cases described as serious.

Ali Yasser Al-Adini, 28, was also killed after being shot in the head by the Israeli occupation army in the Hamad residential city, north of Khan Younis, according to a medical source at Nasser Hospital.

In the central Gaza Strip, a Palestinian was killed and others were wounded when an Israeli drone targeted a civilian vehicle on Salah al-Din Street, east of Deir al-Balah. A medical source at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital stated that the body of the deceased, Ahmed Khaled Abu Maghasib, 32, arrived at the hospital following the attack.

In a separate incident, a Palestinian was killed and five others were injured when an Israeli drone targeted a gathering of civilians in the Bir Abu Salah area of the town of Al-Zawaida in the central Gaza Strip.

In parallel, the Israeli occupation army carried out five demolition operations targeting homes and residential buildings in the eastern areas of Gaza City and northeast of Khan Younis, according to eyewitnesses and local sources.

Witnesses said violent explosions were heard in eastern Gaza City as a result of the detonation of residential buildings within areas controlled by the occupying army, while plumes of smoke rose heavily from areas northeast of Khan Younis as a result of similar operations.

They added that in recent days the army has intensified bulldozing and burning operations in areas under its control within the sector, coinciding with heavy gunfire and the use of illumination and smoke bombs near Hamad Hospital, southeast of Mawasi Rafah.

In a related context, the General Authority for Crossings and Borders in the Gaza Strip announced the return of 76 Palestinians to the Strip and the departure of the same number abroad via the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.

The authority explained in a statement that the departing individuals were divided between 33 patients and 43 companions, given the continued limited operation of the crossing and the restrictions imposed on travel and movement.

On February 2, Israel reopened the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing, which it has occupied since May 2024, in a very limited manner and with very strict restrictions.

Since the reopening of the Rafah crossing, those returning to Gaza have reported being subjected to Israeli harassment, including detention and harsh interrogation lasting for hours before being allowed to continue their journey to the Strip.

Before the war of extermination, hundreds of Palestinians used to leave Gaza daily through the crossing, and hundreds of others would return to the Strip in a normal movement. The mechanism of work at the crossing was subjectto the Ministry of Interior in Gaza and the Egyptian side, without Israeli interference.

Israel was supposed to reopen the crossing in the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, which came into effect on October 10, 2025, but it reneged on that.

On October 7, 2023, Israel, with American support, began a war of extermination in Gaza that lasted two years and left about 73,000 martyrs and about 173,000 wounded Palestinians, most of them children and women, and destruction that affected 90% of the infrastructure.
