United States (US) women's national basketball team player Mikaylah Williams was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2026 FIBA 3x3 World Cup in Warsaw, Poland after leading her country to the championship title.
The FIBA 3x3 website stated on Tuesday that he received the award after being a key figure in his team's success in winning the prestigious event for the fourth time, following the 2012, 2014, and 2023 editions.
Williams performed consistently throughout the tournament and played a big role in the team's journey to the top podium.
In the final, Williams scored the winning shot that ensured the Uncle Sam team defeated Australia by a narrow score of 21-20.
His brilliant performance throughout the tournament made him selected as MVP and included in the Team of the Tournament which consisted of the best players during the competition.
