Five Serie A players will feature in the second Group B match of the 2026 World Cup between Switzerland and Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Los Angeles Stadium in the United States.
The presence of players from the top tier of the Italian League was a highlight of the tight duel for the first victory.
Switzerland had three Serie A players in their starting lineup: Inter Milan defender Manuel Akanji, Bologna midfielder Remo Freuler, and Pisa's Michel Aebischer. AC Milan midfielder Ardon Jashari had to start from the bench.
The Swiss coach also made two changes from the opening match against Qatar. Silvan Widmer and Fabian Rieder were named in the starting lineup in place of Denis Zakaria and Ruben Vargas.
On the other hand, Bosnia fielded two Serie A players as starters, namely Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic and Atalanta defender Sead Kolasinac.
Both will be key to Bosnia's efforts to secure a positive result after a 1-1 draw against hosts Canada in the first match.
