Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin confirmed that the 853rd/Buwar Reje Bur Territorial Development Infantry Battalion in East Aceh Regency is operating well in serving the community.
Sjafrie did this by directly reviewing the condition of the soldiers and the YTP 853/BRB headquarters in Aceh.
"The visit is part of the Ministry of Defense's commitment to ensuring the readiness and optimizing the role of territorial development units as a strategic element of national defense," as quoted in an official press release from the Ministry of Defense received.
In the press release, it was explained that Sjafrie had received a report from the YTP commander regarding the condition of the headquarters and the obstacles experienced by soldiers while on duty.
Sjafrie also received reports on the various community programs carried out by YTP, ranging from maintaining territorial areas, ensuring the safety of local residents to food security programs.
After that, Sjafrie took the time to inspect the soldiers' facilities, from resting places to training facilities.
At the end of his visit, Sjafrie took the time to speak directly with the YTP soldiers. In his instructions, he urged them to maintain professionalism and uphold the Sapta Marga (Seven Principles) in carrying out their duties.
"The Minister of Defense also reminded that the diverse backgrounds of soldiers must be merged into one identity as a TNI that is solid, professional, and ready to carry out duties throughout the territory of the Republic of Indonesia," as quoted in the press release.
With the same spirit and determination, Sjafrie is confident that all YTP soldiers will be even more united in carrying out their duties of serving the community and the country.
"YTP soldiers can further strengthen regional security stability, enhance the unity of the TNI with the people, and make a real contribution to development and community welfare," the press release concluded.
