Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf asserted that the killers of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei will be punished for their actions, noting that the final step in taking revenge on the arrogant powers is the liberation of Jerusalem.

The Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly wrote in a message on the occasion of Khamenei's solemn funeral:

The painful loss of our martyred leader, and the last day of his blessed and wounded body in the capital of the Mother of Cities of the Islamic world, has turned into an epic and an awareness through the manifestation of another face of your mission in this sensitive and fateful stage, which has given a double acceleration to the movement towards the inevitable victory of Islamic Iran and the Islamic world.
The masses, who for 47 years were the driving force and supporter of their revolution, have been shouting every night for the past four months the call of death to America and death to Israel, expressing their hatred and disgust at the killers of our martyred Imam, and demanding "revenge".
The fulfillment of the divine promise is inevitable, and the aggressors against the land of Islamic Iran and the killers of the martyrs of this land, especially the leader of the nation, will receive the punishment for their actions, and the final step of revenge against the arrogant will be embodied in the liberation of Jerusalem.
The people sent have bid farewell to their leader, and, like the past four months, have extended their hand of allegiance towards our wise jurist, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba al-Husseini al-Khamenei.
We must be grateful to this people who have not retreated an inch from the enlightened path of the Imam and the martyrs.
The world has realized today that the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic of Iran are here to stay and will remain forever, and with the support of this people, there is no dead end or defeat.
This nation is from the school of (Imam) Hussein and the upbringing of the two Imams of the revolution, who, during the 37 years of leadership of the martyred leader of the revolution, were not content with preserving the spirit of jihad and struggle, but rather stood firm and united in the face of the tyrants of the world.
Your value must be recognized, and we must spare no effort in upholding your rights, whether on missile launch platforms and in defense of the country, or in the arena of diplomacy and negotiations as part of the civilizational and principled struggle against hegemony, or in the arena of serving you to facilitate living and economic matters.
