A public opinion poll showed that 57% of American citizens considered the decision to initiate military action against Iran to be a mistake.

According to the poll, conducted by YouGov at the request of The Economist magazine, only 27% of Americans supported the military operation.

The poll indicated that the largest percentage of opponents of the military operation was among supporters of the Democratic Party (89%), while there was a split in opinions among supporters of the Republican Party, with 77% of MAGA supporters and 31% of MAGA opponents supporting it.

The survey was conducted between July 10 and 13 and included the opinions of 1,616 American citizens. The margin of error was 3.3 percentage points.
