The event was attended by leaders of the World Uyghur Congress, several members of the Swedish Parliament, and the deceased's family and comrades.

On June 27, Sweden commemorated the 20th anniversary of the death of the late singer, composer, and political activist Kitup Kosen. The event commemorated Kitup Kosen's patriotic songs and praised her anti-China activities at home and abroad, using art as a weapon, including her role in promoting Uyghur identity in Scandinavian countries.

The event was attended by leaders of the World Uyghur Congress, several members of the Swedish Parliament, and the deceased's family and comrades.

The day before the event, the deceased's grave in Eskilstuna, his office where he worked, and the theater where he performed many times were visited.

This year's event was organized by the Swedish Uyghur Union and supported by more than 20 Uyghur organizations, including the World Uyghur Congress and the Uyghur Human Rights Project.
