Dira Artika will face South Korean boxer Yubeen Seo in the women's U19 featherweight class, while Maria Meisita Manguntu received a bye in the women's U23 light welterweight class.
They are part of the draw for the 2026 Asian Boxing U19 and U23 Championship in Jakarta from July 3 to 16, 2026, and 19 national boxers will take part.
"There are several boxers expected to win in the first round, and there are also several boxers who will have to face strong boxing countries. Hopefully, the boys can get through the first round, that's good enough," Indonesian boxing coach Husni Ray Husni told.
Five Indonesian athletes started this tournament from the preliminary round, namely Anggie Intania Chalik, Marion Manuesa Simorangkir, Fredrik Suhendri Ampaga, Laskar Putra and Mars de Volta.
Meanwhile, Dira Artika, Fani Afnan Janati, Nouval, Irnanda Firmanda, Muhammad Rayhan Athaillah, Viktor Wengkang and Joshua Toni Marties Lahin do not need to go through the qualifying round.
