In the past few hours, Yassela's name has been linked to the leadership of Newcastle United, replacing Eddie Howe, who resigned from his position.
In his first comment after his departure, Abdul Aziz Al-Anqari, a former member of the executive committee of Al-Ahli Club, revealed his conversation with the German coach after his sudden decision to leave.
Al-Anqari quoted Yasleh as saying: "I wished to continue at Al-Ahli, and this is my project, but I did not find appreciation and respect, and I hope that Al-Ahli fans will appreciate me."
The German coach left Al-Ahli after a three-season tenure during which he won the AFC Champions League title in the last two seasons, in addition to the Saudi Super Cup.
