Turkish press reportshave revealed that Al-Ittihad Jeddah has entered the race to sign Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, amid continued uncertainty about his future during the current summer transfer window.
The Turkish newspaper Sabah reported that Al-Ittihad Jeddah had made an official offer to acquire the services of the Egyptian national team captain, including an annual salary of $25 million, noting that Salah had given his initial approval to the offer.
The Saudi move comes at a time when a number of clubs continue to show interest in signing Salah, who became available after leaving Liverpool following the end of the 2025-2026 season.
Turkish club Besiktas was among the most interested in acquiring the services of the Egyptian star, and had already entered into negotiations with him, before the talks faltered due to financial disagreements related to the details of the deal, including the player's agent's commission and his commercial rights.
Despite Besiktas announcing a temporary freeze on negotiations, the Turkish club has not closed the door on the possibility of reviving the deal, especially since Salah has not yet decided on his next destination.
According to the Turkish website Halk TV, the Egyptian player has requested more time to study the offers presented to him by clubs wishing to sign him, amid anticipation of what the coming days will bring regarding his future.
Salah’s move to the Saudi League remains one of the most prominent scenarios, especially in light of the large financial offer made by Al-Ittihad Jeddah, but the player’s final position has not yet been officially decided.
