On Monday, Algerian Minister of Industry Yahia Bachir held a meeting with the Qatari Ambassador to Algeria, Abdul Aziz Ali Al-Naama, in the presence of representatives of the Algerian-Qatari Steel Company and the "Baladna Algeria" Group.
This meeting came as part of discussions on ways to accelerate the completion of two joint investment projects.
This opportunity also aims to overcome the administrative and technical obstacles facing these two projects, within the framework of the two countries’ efforts to enhance economic cooperation.
The discussions focused on following up on the second phase of the expansion of the iron and steel project in the "Bellara" region of Jijel province (eastern Algeria), a project that aims to increase production capacity to meet local needs for building materials and manufacturing industries.
The meeting also included a discussion of the Baladna complex project, which specializes in the production of milk, dairy products, and infant formula, and aims to reduce reliance on imported milk powder.
During the meeting, the Algerian minister affirmed the government's commitment to providing support and streamlining procedures to ensure the projects become operational within the specified timeframes. He also noted the involvement of local companies in these projects to strengthen industrial integration between the two countries.
