Egyptian media personality Doaa Farouk surprised the captain of the "Pharaohs" national team, Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, with a video clip with his sister hours before facing Australia in the round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup.

Doaa Farouk posted a video clip with Rabab, Mohamed Salah's sister, saying: "We kidnapped your sister, Salah, and the ransom is 3 goals against Australia."
