The home of Spanish national team star Lamine Jamal was targeted in a robbery attempt in Barcelona hours after he helped lead "La Roja" to the 2026 World Cup final following a 2-0 victory over France in the semi-finals.
According to reports, two people tried to climb the outer wall of the house, taking advantage of the player's absence. However, the private security personnel assigned to guard the property successfully thwarted the attempted break-in, while the two suspects fled the scene before the authorities arrived.
Security services have begun investigating the incident, amid attempts to identify those involved, uncover their motives, and determine whether the operation directly targeted Jamal.
The incident comes at a time when the Spanish star continues to focus fully on his national team, in preparation for the 2026 World Cup final, following his impressive performance during the tournament.
