Cadillac unveils special livery ahead of British GP

The Cadillac team launched a special livery ahead of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix which will take place at the Silverstone Circuit this weekend.

The launch of this livery also marks the 250th anniversary of this American factory team.

"This July 4th weekend is our opportunity to show our pride in representing the United States on the global Formula 1 stage," said Cadillac CEO Dan Towriss, as quoted by Formula 1, Thursday.

"We want to use this opportunity to show a new community about our sport and share our passion," added Dan Towriss.

In this latest livery, Cadillac features the colors of the United States flag as the main stripes, with red, white, and blue as its icon. The distinctive stars and stripes also represent the United States' authentic identity.

Team Principal Graeme Lowdon admitted that looking ahead to the British GP would be one of Cadillac's steps to improve on a number of minor results in the last series at the Austrian GP, which produced less than convincing results.

"We've been working hard to fix those issues. We've seen that the improvements brought to Spielberg are positive, and our goal at Silverstone is to ensure we have a clean weekend to maximize the performance potential we're seeing," said Graeme Lowdon.
