Syrian authorities announced that investigations with members of the terrorist cell recently arrested proved their responsibility for the bombing of the Defense Ministry's armament administration building in Damascus last May.
Authorities said that during the investigations, members of the cell confessed to carrying out the operation with the aim of targeting public institutions, destabilizing security and stability, and spreading chaos among citizens.
She added that investigations are still ongoing to uncover all those involved and cooperating with the cell, in preparation for taking the necessary legal measures against them.
The bombing dates back to last May, when it targeted the armament administration building of the Ministry of Defense in Damascus, resulting in material damage. At the time, the competent authorities began an investigation to uncover its circumstances and identify those responsible for it.
The announcement of the preliminary investigation results comes after the arrest of the cell that authorities said was behind the attack, while security efforts continue to track down the remaining perpetrators and complete legal proceedings against them.
