Spanish national team coach Luis de la Fuente believes his team has the ability to beat France when the two countries meet in the 2026 World Cup semifinals.
De la Fuente is that confident because he has seen the development of his players so far.
"I think it's natural that we think we can beat France. We'll work hard to make that happen," De la Fuente told FIFA's website on Saturday.
The 65-year-old coach believes Spain has a pretty good record against France and they are trying to maintain that.
In their previous two meetings, Spain defeated France 5-4 in the 2025 UEFA Nations League semi-finals and 2-1 in the Euro 2024 semi-finals.
