Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic raised his game level to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 in the second round of Wimbledon at the All England Club, London, after getting through a tough four-set opening match against Wu Yibing.
The seven-time Wimbledon champion upset Tsitsipas in their first grass-court meeting and extended his head-to-head lead to 13-2.
"You feel so happy, satisfied and joyful on the court when you play like this once you get the momentum," Djokovic said after the match.
As he marched to victory, Djokovic broke Tsitsipas' serve in spectacular fashion. The 39-year-old hit three winners in the game before closing out the match in one hour and 38 minutes.
The victory took Djokovic into the third round of the grasscourt Grand Slam tournament for the 20th time.
"The game where I was up 5-2 was one of the best return games I've played in a while," Djokovic said.
"I just focused on my shots. I was a little more relaxed, a little less tense in my head," he added.
