Tennis player Novak Djokovic admitted he was dissatisfied with his progress at Wimbledon 2026, which only reached the semifinals, before being eliminated by world No. 1 Jannik Sinner.
Djokovic was forced to concede victory to Sinner in straight sets , repeating a similar result in the same round of Wimbledon last year.
"Good, but not enough," said Djokovic assessing his achievement at Wimbledon, quoted from ATP.
The Serbian tennis player has reached one final and one semifinal in three Grand Slam tournaments this season. Last season, he reached the semifinals of all Grand Slam tournaments.
"I think for 99 percent of players, that's a very good result. For me, it's good, but not enough, because I'm used to results and achievements at the highest level," said the 24-time Grand Slam champion.
He admitted that he is still trying to balance personal expectations with the fact that he is still able to compete at the highest level even though he is 39 years old.
According to Djokovic, as long as he is in good physical condition, he is still confident that he can perform as one of the five best tennis players in the world and compete for Grand Slam titles.
