Female footballers must have the courage to leave home and come to Java

Indonesian U-16 women's national football team coach Timo Scheunemann encouraged talented young female footballers to dare to leave their hometowns and migrate to Java Island, so they can get the opportunity to develop through tiered competitions.

According to him, this courage is needed for consistent training and competition to increase the chances of entering the national team.

"Yes, our hope is that parents will be more proactive and proactive in connecting with the current coaching system," said Timo while watching the U16 girls' match in the Hydroplus Soccer League (HSL) All-Stars 2025/2026 at the Supersoccer Arena in Kudua Regency, Central Java, on Saturday.

He cited the HSL, which is held in four regions and includes one HSL All-Stars event. Both events can facilitate consistent and high-standard women's soccer development.

Currently, the competition is one of the main platforms for monitoring players for the needs of the national team age group.

"Now in the Hydroplus Soccer League, there are several players who are already at national team level," said the German coach.
