Lamine Yamal: Spain is not afraid of facing France at all

Spanish national team player Lamine Yamal said his team is not at all afraid of facing France in the 2026 World Cup semifinals to be played at Dallas Stadium, United States.

Spain arrived in the semifinals as the team with the best defense at the 2026 World Cup, having conceded only one goal, while France posed the most dangerous threat in this year's edition, being the most prolific team with 16 goals.

"There are two possibilities: they reach their third consecutive World Cup final, or we beat them for the third time. I don't know what will happen, but we're not afraid at all," Yamal said, as quoted on FIFA's official website on Saturday.

La Furia Roja just advanced to the semifinals after defeating Belgium with a score of 2-1 thanks to a last-minute goal from Mikel Merino at the Los Angeles Stadium, United States (US), Saturday.
