Persib Bandung Academy advances to the final of the Hydroplus Soccer League U18

The Persib Bandung Academy women's soccer team secured their spot in the final of the U18 Hydroplus Soccer League All-Stars 2026 after defeating Putri JP  2-1 in the semifinals at the Supersoccer Arena in Kudus.

The Persib Academy, nicknamed Maung Bandung, immediately put on the pressure from the start. Their efforts paid off in first-half injury time when Aulia Arifah capitalized on a chance to put Persib ahead 1-0.

Entering the second half, Putri JP Jakarta increased their attacking intensity. As a result, in the 47th minute, they equalized the score at 1-1 using a free kick.

Just as the match looked set to end in a draw, Aulia Arifah proved the difference again. Her second goal just before the final whistle sealed a 2-1 victory and sent Persib Bandung Academy through to the final.

Persib Bandung Academy Head Coach Dian Nadia Mutiara, met after the match, admitted to being grateful that her team was able to get through the tough match.

"The boys followed instructions well, played patiently, and didn't follow the opponent's rushing rhythm. The hot weather forced us to conserve our energy to capitalize on even the smallest opportunities," he said.

According to Dian, the players were also able to execute the prepared game plan, starting from transitions, combinations of short passes to the middle to long passes.

He assessed that the experience of playing in the group phase during the day also helped the players manage their stamina in the semifinal match.

Despite some players suffering from injuries, Dian hopes this won't disrupt preparations for the final. Maung Bandung is ready to face any opponent who advances from the other semifinals.
