The 2026 FIFA World Cup winning squad will receive championship rings in addition to the traditional trophy and gold medals, the International Federation of Association Football announced.
The ring will be awarded to the team that wins the World Cup final.
The championship ring is part of a limited edition collection of 2,026 pieces, each numbered to commemorate the 2026 World Cup.
Thirty rings will be awarded to members of the winning team. The remaining 1,996 rings will be marketed globally as officially licensed 2026 World Cup souvenirs.
Each ring features the FIFA World Cup trophy on one side, while the other side will be customized to reflect the identity of the tournament's winning team.
The introduction of the championship rings adds a distinctly North American touch to FIFA's awards ceremonies, while also reflecting a long tradition in American professional sports, where champion teams receive commemorative rings in addition to their winning trophies.
