Former English footballer and manager Kevin Keegan has died at the age of 75 after battling stage four cancer following his diagnosis earlier this year.
Quoted from the One Football page, Monday, Keegan was the most shining player of his time, winning the Ballon d'Or title two years in a row in 1978 and 1979.
While still an active player, Keegan shone with Liverpool, winning three Premier League titles, one FA Cup, two UEFA Cups and one European Cup.
Besides shining with Liverpool, Keegan also enjoyed the peak of his career when he played for the German League club Hamburger SV and won the 1978/1979 Bundesliga.
The figure born on February 14, 1951, was also an England national team player and made 63 appearances in various competitions and managed to score 21 goals with The Three Lions.
After retiring as a footballer, Keegan decided to become a coach and managed several teams such as Newcastle, Fulham, Manchester City and the England national team.
Meanwhile, quoted from Newcastle's official website, Monday, they expressed their condolences for the death of Keegan, who was considered an important figure in the club's history.
"We are devastated to hear the news of the passing of Kevin Keegan, one of the most iconic, influential and much-loved figures in our club's history," the club said in a statement.
