The Indonesian Rock Climbing Federation (FPTI) has made the World Climbing Series, which will be held in Poland and France, part of its efforts to improve athletes' preparations for the 2026 Asian Games.
"All of this is an integral part of our preparations to get there," said Wahyu Buntoro, Secretary General of the FPTI Central Executive Board, in an official statement from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The Indonesian Climbing Federation recently sent athletes to compete in the 2026 World Climbing Series Krakow in Poland, July 3-5. The Indonesian team won one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal in the individual speed and mixed speed relay events.
Desak Made Rita Kusuma Dewi won the gold medal, which officially took the Balinese athlete to number one in the world rankings for women's speed.
Following the Krakow series, the FPTI athletes departed for France to take part in the next world championship, the World Climbing Series Chamonix 2026 on July 10-12.
