Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid asked the winners of the 700 MHz and 2.6 GHz frequency band selection to accelerate equal distribution of internet access and provide quality cellular services, especially in areas that have not yet been reached by the network.
Meutya said the government has set several obligations for the frequency auction winners, one of which is providing 4G services in 538 villages and sub-districts that do not yet have adequate internet signals.
"Therefore, we are committing ourselves to the selection winners to carry out tasks including providing quality 4G services in 538 villages and sub-districts spread from Sumatra to Papua that currently lack signal connectivity or have weak signal," Meutya said.
