The Ministry of Communication and Digital together with educators and student representatives from eight schools made a Joint Declaration of Digitally Capable Schools in commemoration of National Children's Day.
In the declaration, these schools affirmed their commitment to supporting the implementation of PP Tunas by becoming competent, safe, ethical, and responsible digital citizens.
"We want these children to be digitally literate, but at the same time, being digitally literate also means being able to balance their lives in the virtual realm with their daily lives with their parents, friends, and peers, so that we can return them to their true selves as children," said Communications and Digital Minister Meutya Hafid at the commemoration of National Children's Day.
They also expressed their readiness to safeguard personal data, reject cyberbullying, and make child protection in the digital space a shared responsibility between schools, families, communities, the government, and electronic system providers.
