Galenica Pharmaceutical Laboratories, one of the leading Moroccan pharmaceutical companies, announced the export of its first shipment of products to the Russian market in cooperation with Asia Pharm Group.
This step represents the first practical entry of the Moroccan company into the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan), after it succeeded in completing all the regulatory procedures and obtaining the necessary licenses and registrations that allow it to market its products within the Union countries, including Russia.
For his part, Russia’s trade representative in Morocco, Alexei Andreev, commented: “We note that the remarkable development of the pharmaceutical industry in Morocco enhances the prospects for bilateral cooperation between Russia and Morocco in this field, and opens the way for promising export projects for Moroccan pharmaceutical products to the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union.”
Andreev added: "The shipment of Galenica to Russia is a practical example of this trend, as it made the first Moroccan pharmaceutical company to obtain the necessary licenses to market its products within the EU market."
He noted that the Russian market currently includes therapeutic products manufactured by Galenika in multiple fields, including gastrointestinal diseases, cold treatment, as well as a number of other therapeutic areas.
