Indonesian tennis player Muhammad Rifqi Fitriadi admitted that he quickly found a good match when partnering with Filipino tennis player Francis Casey Alcantara after the two secured their place in the semifinals of the doubles event at the ITF M15 Bali tournament.
Rifqi said the adaptation process with Alcantara was smooth. The two players were already familiar with each other's playing styles after meeting several times in international tournaments.
"There's no need to adapt in any particular way, actually. Lately, I've been watching him play a lot, and he's been watching me play a lot. We've played in several tournaments together, most recently in China.
According to Rifqi, Alcantara's higher flying hours also made their communication and cooperation easier in the field.
"Moreover, he has a lot of experience . There's nothing that needs to be adjusted too much. I'm really happy to be able to play with him, given his excellent playing ability," said the 26-year-old tennis player.
