Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad confirmed that discussions on various strategic draft laws will continue during the recess period to ensure that the public's needs are met and solutions can be provided quickly.
He emphasized that the recess period does not mean the DPR's work is over. He stated that every bill being discussed is aimed at addressing real issues faced by the public.
He explained that one of the priorities for discussion was the Asset Confiscation Bill, which is expected to strengthen the state's efforts to recover assets obtained from criminal acts.
The more optimally state assets can be restored, according to him, the greater the opportunity for their use for development and services to the community.
Therefore, discussions on the bill will continue, opening up space for public participation to produce strong and effective regulations.
Dasco then stated that the House of Representatives (DPR) is also continuing discussions on the One Data Indonesia Bill to promote more integrated government data.
Through this regulation, it is hoped that public services will be faster, social assistance will be more targeted, and government policies will be formulated based on more accurate data.
In the employment sector, according to him, the DPR has placed the Employment Bill as one of its next priorities.
