Persija defender Jordi Amat said he was excited to welcome the most prestigious inter-country football championship in Southeast Asia, the AFF Cup, now known as the ASEAN Hyundai Cup.
This year's AFF Cup, which runs from July 24 to 26, will be Jordi's second appearance in the competition, following his first in 2022, when he led the Indonesian national team to the semifinals.
Jordi was among the many names called up by coach John Herdman for the first phase of the training camp in Bali. Following Herdman's instructions, the former Swansea City, Espanyol, Rayo Vallecano, and Real Betis player expressed his delight.
"I think it's been a really good week. We've worked really hard, and today we finished it off with a friendly. And I'm really proud of the performance we've put in," said Jordi, who has 20 caps for the Garuda team.
