Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli beat Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton to win the sprint race session of the British Grand Prix which took place at the Silverstone Circuit.
This was Kimi Antonelli's first sprint victory since his Formula 1 debut in the 2025 season.
Lewis Hamilton started the sprint race very well after getting pole position and was able to maintain the lead.
Meanwhile, Kimi Antonelli continued to shadow him from second position, followed by Lando Norris who was able to maneuver to overtake Max Verstappen.
A fierce battle ensued for third place, as George Russell overtook Lando Norris for the lead. However, Norris quickly regained the lead.
Until entering the fifth lap, Hamilton continued to be followed by Antonelli who slowly but surely managed to reduce the gap to 0.5 seconds.
Followed by Norris, Verstappen, Russell, Leclerc, Piastri, and Lawson who were in third to eighth positions respectively.
