Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee , Raja Sapta Oktohari, hopes that Anggie Intania Chalik's gold medal will be a momentum to boost Indonesia's boxing achievements on the international stage.
"In the past, it was difficult for us to achieve success, but now Indonesian boxing is slowly but surely making a comeback," Raja Sapta Oktohari told the media after watching Anggie Intania Chalik perform at the Basket Hall.
The Indonesian national boxing team bagged a gold medal presented by Anggie Intania Chalik who defeated India's representative, Gunjan, in the final of the women's light flyweight U19 (45-48kg).
Oktohari also congratulated Anggie Chalik on her achievement. He believes the gold medal could be a stepping stone to boosting Indonesian boxing's achievements in other championships.
