BRI Super League club Madura United has officially signed center back Brandon Scheunemann to strengthen its defense for the 2026/2027 season.
Quoted from the official I.League website, Monday, Director of PT Polana Bola Madura Bersatu Annisa Zhafarina explained Brandon's arrival as a strategic step for the club.
"Our decision to bring in Brandon is a strategic move to strengthen the team's defense. Born into a footballing family, the son of a former professional player and of German descent, Brandon grew up with tactical understanding, strong character, and an above-average competitive mentality," said Annisa.
He added that Brandon is an experienced figure who has represented the Indonesian national team in his age group and possesses tough physical attributes.
Annisa believes that with the attributes possessed by the 21-year-old player, Brandon can be considered a flexible modern defender in the Laskar Sape Kerrab defense line.
He said he can't wait to see the young, promising player make his mark with Madura United and become a key player for Indonesia's future.
"We are optimistic that his quality and cool-bloodedness will add a new dimension to Madura United's back line this season," said Annisa.
