Manchester United officially announced its first signing of the 2026 summer transfer window by bringing in young Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos from Chelsea.
"Manchester United is delighted to announce that Andrey Santos has officially joined the club. The Brazilian has signed a contract until June 2031 with the option to extend for a further year," the club said in a statement on Monday.
Santos' presence is expected to strengthen the Red Devils' midfield, which is currently experiencing a player crisis due to Casemiro's departure and Manuel Ugarte's long-term injury.
Manchester United's sporting director, Jason Wilcox, enthusiastically welcomed the youngster's arrival. He described Santos as one of the best young midfielders currently playing in the Premier League.
