| Special Envoy for African Affairs- Massoud Boulos |
Special Envoy for African Affairs, Massoud Boulos, warned that Washington has not yet exhausted all available tools to pressure the parties to the conflict in Sudan, stressing that sanctions could be issued at any moment and will spare no one.
In a new escalation of international pressure on the parties to the conflict in Sudan, Paul said that "all the keys to pressure and sanctions are now in the hands of Secretary of State Rubio and President Trump, and the decision could be issued at any moment," stressing that "the sanctions will spare no one, and will include individuals, groups and even entire entities."
The US president's advisor added that "the US administration always prefers friendly and peaceful solutions to end the crisis," but he added: "But patience has its limits," in a clear message indicating that time is running out for the parties to stop the attacks and seriously return to the path of negotiation.
This escalation in American rhetoric coincides with the resumption of the Sudanese file at the level of the UN Security Council, where the Council is scheduled to hold a periodic meeting at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 15, at its permanent headquarters in New York.
During this session, the Security Council is expected to hear a comprehensive briefing from the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, reviewing the latest developments and progress of justice related to the Darfur case in Sudan.
