Marines award outstanding soldiers in Operation Cassowary

 




  The Indonesian Navy  Marine Corps awarded soldiers of the RI–PNG Mobile Border Security Task Force  Yonif 10 Marines for their achievements during Operation Badai Kasuari in Papua.

In an official press release received in Jakarta, Saturday, the award was presented by the Commander of the Marine Corps  Lieutenant General TNI  Endi Supardi at the Brigif 1 Marines Parade Field, Hartono Marine Corps, Cilandak.

Head of the Marine Corps Information Service, Marine Colonel Rana Karyana, said that during his assignment in Papua, the RI–PNG Mobile Border Security Task Force, Marine Battalion 10, successfully carried out a number of operations against the West Papua National Liberation Army–Free Papua Organization.

"The Marine Corps successfully neutralized a number of TPNPB-OPM personnel and figures, pushed several members of the armed group back to the bosom of Mother Earth, captured four main headquarters, destroyed 15 sector headquarters, secured 56 houses of centipedes, and confiscated various pieces of evidence in the form of firearms, ammunition, communication equipment, TPNPB-OPM attributes, and organizational documents," said Rana.

For these achievements, Pangkormar gave awards in the form of extraordinary promotions (KPLB), educational opportunities, and overseas assignments for soldiers who excelled.

"On the same occasion, the Marine Corps Commander also presented the Award Certificate Number 70/VII/2026 as a form of appreciation for the soldiers' success in Operation Badai Kasuari," said Rana.
