Member of Commission XIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives Yan Permenas Mandenas provided educational guidance and motivation for students of Mimika 1 State Senior High School, Timika City, Mimika Regency, Central Papua.
Yan Permenas Mandenas in Timika, Saturday, said that education is very important to encourage the progress of a region so that students who are currently in high school must prepare themselves by studying seriously so that when they have graduated from high school they can compete with students from other regions when entering higher education.
"I motivate the students of Mimika 1 State Senior High School to maintain their fighting spirit, not only in their studies but also when they enter higher education and the world of work," he said after providing guidance and motivation at a socialization event for the Pancasila virtue movement volunteer activities held by the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency.
In this era of globalization, mastery of a foreign language, such as English, is crucial for pursuing higher education or working abroad. As a member of the House of Representatives from Papua, he strives to promote scholarship collaboration between the Papuan government and international institutions, ensuring that at least one Papuan scholarship recipient is sent to study abroad each year.
