Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka advanced to the fourth round of Wimbledon for the first time after defeating Australian seed Daria Kasatkina with a score of 6-1, 6-3 in a match that lasted for 65 minutes at the All England Club, London.
The victory completes Osaka's record of reaching the fourth round of all Grand Slam tournaments. She previously reached the fourth round three times at the Australian Open, including two titles, once at Roland Garros, and four times at the US Open, including two titles.
"When I was younger, I was pretty stubborn about how I wanted to play on this surface. Now I realize that grass is much more fluid," Osaka said after the match.
Osaka became the 31st active player to reach the fourth round of all four Grand Slam tournaments.
Meanwhile, Kasatkina, a former world number eight who was a quarter-finalist at Wimbledon in 2018, previously completed her achievement by reaching the fourth round of the 2025 Australian Open.
