Ukrainian skateboarder Vladislav Geraskevych has revealed new efforts by his country to limit the participation of Russian athletes in upcoming international competitions.

Geraskevych said, according to Ukrainian media reports, that his country intends to work with the countries hosting the championships to prevent Russian athletes from obtaining entry visas, with the aim of preventing their participation in sporting events.

He added: "We need to work with countries so that they do not allow these athletes to enter their territories, and then we can solve this problem."

The Ukrainian athlete also expressed his objection to the recent recommendations of the International Olympic Committee, as well as the decision to temporarily reinstate the Russian Olympic Committee, arguing that the violations he believes were the cause of the sanctions have not been completely resolved.

The International Olympic Committee had previously lifted some restrictions related to the participation of Russian athletes in international championships, and the Russian Olympic Committee announced the temporary restoration of its rights.
