After their beloved squad was eliminated from the quarterfinals after being defeated 1-2 by England at Miami Stadium, United States, Norwegian national team supporters remembered the 2026 World Cup as an expensive tournament.
The country's supporters can spend at least around five thousand US dollars to watch a live match at the stadium.
"That's one of the negative things about this World Cup," said Eirik, a Norway fan who said he watched all of his country's matches during the 2026 World Cup.
The Oslo native continued, saying that to watch all of Norway's matches, plus travel and other expenses, he would have to spend approximately 230 thousand US dollars.
Eirik realized it was a huge amount, but still gave it up for the sake of the Norwegian national team.
According to him, FIFA should be able to sell tickets at a cheaper price so that they are affordable for supporters from all walks of life.
"Okay, I understand there's a lot of demand. But that price is too high. They should be selling it at a fan-friendly price," said Eirik, who has been watching Norway live since the 1998 World Cup in France.
Meanwhile, Andreas, a Norwegian national team supporter who flew from his residence in Spain, had to pay around 10-12 thousand US dollars to be able to watch the Norway versus England match.
