BRI Super League club Persija Jakarta officially announced a one-year contract extension for senior goalkeeper Andritany Ardhiyasa, extending the contract until the end of the 2026/2027 season.
Persija President Mohamad Prapanca said that the decision to retain Andritany was based on technical considerations as well as the player's significant role in the team.
"His loyalty, leadership, and positive influence on the team are the reasons we're keeping him for another season," said Prapanca.
He hopes that Andritany's presence can help the team maintain high standards, while also being a role model for the younger players in the Kemayoran Tigers team.
Prapanca explained that Andritany's experience in dealing with various situations with Persija Jakarta is believed to be a crucial asset for the team's journey in the upcoming season.
"His experience is needed to guide and provide understanding to the young and new players. This will enable them to make the best possible contribution and help Persija strive to achieve its highest goals this season," he added.
