Persija has confirmed that it will field the Elite Pro Academy (EPA) U20 team in the 2026 Elite President's Cup, which will take place from late July to early August 2026.
"We have been planning and preparing for the main team's training camp in Thailand for a long time. When we received the 2026 President's Elite Cup match schedule, the entire team's schedule in Thailand had already been finalized, so it couldn't be changed," said Persija President Mohamad Prapanca, as quoted from Persija's official website on Saturday.
The decision to field the EPA U20 team , he continued, was made after the President's Cup schedule coincided with the Persija main team's training camp program which would be held in Thailand.
Meanwhile, the training camp agenda has been prepared and determined well in advance, as a crucial part of the team's preparation for the 2026/2027 season.
Prapanca explained that the decision was taken after considering the interests of the main team's preparation, as well as the club's commitment to supporting the implementation of the President's Cup.
