Riau Ega is wary of the increasingly even competition in Asian archery

 

  Indonesian archer Ega Agatha Salsabila from Riau is wary of stiff competition at the 2026 Asian Games, as the strength of archery athletes in the Asian region is becoming increasingly evenly distributed.

According to Riau Ega, the current Asian archery competition no longer depends on just one country, so Indonesia must prepare itself optimally to face various possibilities in the competition arena.

"For the past few years, it's been evenly distributed at the Asian Games. So, it's actually to our advantage that all the good athletes come from Asia, and hopefully, we'll be one of them at the Asian Games tomorrow," said Riau Ega at the Gelora Bung Karno archery field.

He believes that this situation gives every country an equal opportunity to compete, while also being a challenge for the Indonesian team in its efforts to improve its performance.
